Hurricaine Katrina - 9 months later

My dad went to the gulf for a couple of weeks in June to do some counseling. We actually lived in Biloxi when I was a baby. I think this picture pretty much says it all. This was taken in the 9th ward - New Orleans.

I've wondred how things REALLY are down there. The media isn't awlays the best source of truth as you know. I'd be very curious to see what our old stomping grounds were like now.

My sister-in-law was doing missionary work in New Orleans until about a month ago. They had lived there since the hurricane and were operating a soup kitchen. I don't know if they are going back but she said there is so much work to be done there.

I love Biloxi, my mom was born in Louisiana so we always vacationed in the south. I'm afraid I'd be sad to see it still so devastated

That is so sad. I feel for those people living there.
