Back in my FAVORITE (still) national park of all time. I loved this day. We hiked the trail to the Loch (lake) in Glacier Gorge. A 6.2 mile round trip hike. Wow! We were all breathing hard with many, many rests on the way up to that lake (via several waterfalls!). The way back was so fun! Only one or two rest stops! We then drove the Fall River Road up to the Alpine visitor center above the tree line, drove back down on Trail Ridge Road. A great, great day. The last real day of our trip.
Tonight we are in a hotel outside of Denver, ready for the drive home tomorrow. I can't wait to get some pictures posted for everybody!

Sounds like a fantastic trip (except for the tent part). Can't wait to see your photos.
Arrrgh.. been following here and there. Glad you're back safe and sound, but I'm still sad I haven't made the trip yet. I'm planning my map according to your description, though!
